What you'll need on top of the pond
A preformed pond on its own won't keep fish healthy long-term. You'll also need:
- A pond pump sized to circulate the full volume at least once per hour
- A pond filter rated for fish ponds (mechanical + biological)
- A dechlorinator to make tap water fish-safe
- A starter dose of beneficial bacteria to cycle the filter
